Bay Area Discovery Museum, Sausalito, CA - My son loves this museum and we are going there today!

This is spring break so there is no school!  I'm taking my son to the Bay Area Discovery Museum today in Sausalito.  This place is filled with things for children to explore, but it gets chilly so dress warm.  There is a schedule on the website with all kinds of activities throughout the day.

This museum is also close to Marin Headlands National Park and the visitor center, which is only open on weekends, is worth a visit.  My family likes to do hikes at this park and also go to the beach.

There is a hostel in the Marin Headlands National Park that is family friendly.  The rates are very inexpensive and it includes a kitchen for cooking meals.  We haven't stayed there yet, but my son always asks if we can when we walk by the hostel.
